That's a common enough response; the content label does say polyester, but the content label doesn't describe the fabric. Questions about the various labels under the furniture cushions come up often enough to be worth a few words of explanation.
Durable, synthetic fabrics may be a good choice for high-use furniture, but offer fewer color, pattern and texture choices. It is not uncommon for more expensive fabrics to be the most care sensitive.
