| A: | A fabric protector is a material that enhances the performance of fabrics by coating the surface fiber, changing the surface energy and making the fabric more soil retardant and stain repellent by keeping the staining substance on the surface of the fibers. Fabric protector is generally a fluorochemical-based product (Teflon) or a silicone-based product.
