| A: | Carpet and fabric protectors help preserve and protect the appearance by allowing easier, faster and more efficient removal of soil, stains and liquid spills. The Dupont Teflon protector we use is a fluorochemical-based product that bonds with the fibers to form an "invisible barrier" against water and oil-based stains, making them more soil retardant and stain repellent.
A small amount of stain-resist protector will be removed in the cleaning process. However, abrasion from normal use can wear away the protective coating more rapidly, especially in high traffic areas. To restore your carpet to its original level of stain-resist protection, consider having your carpet treated with Teflon Carpet Protector following each professional cleaning.
